Q. Can I make pre-payments on my taxes?A. No. Tax payments can only be taken during the collection periods stated on your bills.
Summer tax collection starts on July 1st of each year and continues through September 14 without penalty. From September 15 through February 28 summer taxes may be collected with additional fees.
Winter tax collection starts on December 1 of each year and continues through February 28.
After February 28 of each year unpaid taxes are turned over to the Van Buren County Treasurer's office for collection.
